Miryam began her career in Jewish Education in a suitably off-track, artistic way by training as a LabShul Maven in 2015. In New York, she taught with LabShul and Temple Israel of the City of New York, as well as offering private B'nei Mitzvah tutoring. Since moving to Philadelphia in 2016, she has worked as a religious school teacher, early childhood Judaic Specialist and B'nei Mitzvah tutor at Congregation Rodeph Shalom and Buerger Early Learning Center and led the BMitzvah program for Makom Community in its inaugural year. She also had the honor of serving as the Dance Arts Mentor for the first two summers of the URJ 6 Points Creative Arts Academy. It was her first time at Jewish camp! She even got to teach URJ President Rick Jacobs. Can you spot him in the photos?

Miryam currently tutors with Kol Tzedek, Rodeph Shalom, Temple Sholom in Broomall, and Beth Elohim in Brooklyn. She offers private Hebrew and B'nai Mitvah tutoring in Philadelphia. Miryam has also led artistic workshops at PTBAS in New York City, KKBE in Charlottesville, and Kesher Israel in West Chester, PA and at the 2019 URJ Biennial in Chicago. She would love to engage your Jewish community in an artistic Jewish experience!

Parent testimonial

“We have been using Miryam’s tutoring services for the last two years. She has a very creative approach to teaching the children. Miryam tutored two of my three children and helped prepare them for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah services. They were so prepared and so confident up on the bima. Our weekly tutoring sessions also included some Jewish history, fun facts and meaning of various holidays. Miryam provides a well rounded educational experience to her students.“
