I met stained glass artist Justin Tyner for the first time at his Magic Garden's exhibition, Light as Memory and, on a whim, asked if he might want to do an ArtDate with me. We met up at Leah Stein's studio with dancer Dawn Anne Perez. I was curious about the different timeline of this collaboration; Justin brought finished stained glass pieces with him. Improvising felt amorphous at times in collaboration with these finished solid objects, but we found a lot of play in lens and light. Three structures emerged:
